Andreas Kees joined Itad’s Private Sector Development theme in 2016. He is an economist with experience in the areas of international trade and investment as well as monitoring and evaluation.
Prior to joining Itad, Andreas worked for Saana Consulting as Project Officer (prev. Research Assistant). His work focussed on on-going projects with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Trade Advocacy Fund (TAF).
As part of TAF’s broader Fund Manager team, Andreas supported senior staff in project delivery with a focus on monitoring and evaluation activities, such as data collection (output, outcome, impact level) and writing of quarterly progress reports. He also contributed substantially to a “Lesson Learning Report”, which covered five years of TAF, both in collecting and analysing qualitative data from key informants and write-up of the report.
In addition, Andreas supported senior staff in the project delivery of support to the on the development of a World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) support strategy. His main technical input included the development of an AU-wide TFA Monitoring Information System (MIS). The MIS aims to keep the AUC abreast of the implementation progress and technical assistance needs of all member states.
