Navin Subedi

Navin Subedi is an experienced programme manager with core competence in the monitoring and evaluation of the programmes designed to reduce poverty. His more than fifteen years’ of experience in the development sector spans management of multi-thematic and multi-donors’ projects (including complex grants) at local and national levels, designing and implementation of M&E frameworks for local NGOs to large and complex grants and developing innovative programme interventions.

Navin’s career in the development started in 2003 with a national level NGO that is reputed for designing interventions for market-based bio-diversity conservation. He joined ActionAid Nepal as a policy analyst in 2006 and progressively moved onto management of regional programmes in 2009 and management of entire donors funded project portfolios in 2011.

Navin has a proven track record of local, regional and national programme management which included a stronger focus on monitoring and evaluation of multi-sectoral and multi-donor funded projects. He has an interest in mixed-methods approaches to provide robust evidence to policy makers and project managers to adapt to the changing realities and the needs of the beneficiaries –  a challenge which he used to confront as a programme manager.

Navin is well acquainted in both qualitative and quantitative approaches of M&E.

Navin manages third-party the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Project for the third phase of the Nepal Rural Access Programme (RAP3) as Itad’s associate.
