Wilson Ashimwe

Wilson Ashimwe joined Itad in March 2018 as a consultant in the health theme. He is a public health specialist with skills and experience in project and programme management, monitoring and evaluation of health programmes, and quantitative and qualitative research.

Prior to joining Itad, Wilson worked at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, where he supported the delivery of large-scale multi-country programmes funded by various donors (USAID, DANIDA, SIDA, BLF, Hilton Foundation and GIZ). Since 2012, Wilson has been advocating for the rights of people most affected by HIV in Africa including the MSM, sex workers and people who inject drugs.

Wilson holds an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies and an MSc in Public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
