To learn more about Itad, please visit our website: www.itad.com Location Cameroon: Yaoundé and surrounding areas Period of Performance and Level of Effort To be Determined Description of Consultant Roster Itad is seeking to develop a consultant roster of local Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) experts for upcoming anticipated short-term consultancies in Cameroon. The timeframe for the anticipated consultancies and the level of effort will be determined on an as needed basis when an opportunity to hire a consultant arises. Qualified applicants will be included on the roster and contacted as needed to see if they are available for specific consulting opportunities. If a consultant is added to the roster, it does not guarantee a consultancy or position. Should a consulting opportunity arise, Itad will contact qualified experts on the roster to share the Scope of Work for the consultancy, and to conduct an interview. Position Description The MEL consultant will provide MEL technical assistance services to local organizations including: Helping develop MEL capacities within an organization Developing a MEL plan including developing indicators for reporting Setting up systems for monitoring of program activities Assisting with MEL reporting requirements Providing technical assistance on an ad hoc basis to local organizations Assist with undertaking baseline, midcourse, and end of project data collection Provide technical MEL support to the Itad MEL Director in Washington, DC The scope of work and position responsibilities will be detailed once selected for a specific consulting opportunity. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field required Advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in MEL 5+ years of experience providing MEL support to an organization or program 4+ years of experience supporting local partners/organizations in developing the MEL capacities and/or developing MEL systems Experience with USAID programming preferred Knowledge of USAID’s MEL requirements preferred Experience working in health sectors including outbreak preparedness and response, One Health, global health security, or other related sectors preferred Strong qualitative and quantitative data skills Experience designing data collection tools, selecting indicators, and monitoring systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and remotely Self-motivated and able to manage time and meet deadlines working independently Proven ability to work under pressure, and with multiple concurrent demands Excellent communication skills, strong proficiency in English and French Ability to travel throughout the country Must be based in Cameroon and a citizen If you are interested in being added to the Cameroon MEL Consultant Roster, please apply via the link at Bamboo, submitting your CV and daily rate in USD, as well as a MEL-related deliverable/report you have prepared in the past by July 11, 2024 Only candidates that are added to the Roster will be contacted.
