The evaluation is focused on the CSP and the extent to which this new strategy improved the coherence of WFP’s approach to its way of working in the country. It focuses, among other factors, on the emergency response triggered by the surge in refugees arriving in Cox’s Bazar, fleeing conflict in Myanmar across the border. The evaluation assesses to what extent the CSP supported or hindered the emergency response.
Our approach
A team of specialists is implementing the evaluation, applying a mixed-methods approach to data collection and analysis. We aim to ensure methodological rigour by using a combination of evaluation tools and multiple analytical methods, as well as collecting both primary and secondary data. While most of the data will be collected through key informant interviews and focus group discussions, the team will also collect quantitative data. We are applying a participatory approach, working closely with the WFP team to make sure the evaluation and its findings are as useful as possible.
