Michael Jary is Non-Executive Chair of Itad.
Michael was a co-founder and Worldwide Managing Partner of OC&C Strategy Consultants, where he played a leading role in building the firm to its current size of 600 consultants in 14 offices. He is now Senior Adviser at OC&C.
He is chair of Duchy Originals the UK’s largest organic food brand, and commercial chair of The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund. He is a non-executive director of Barclays Bank UK plc. He is a lead non-executive director for the UK Government, at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. He is a trustee of Opera Holland Park.
Michael is the author of several books including Retail Power Plays, a top 10 business bestseller.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in physics from the University of Oxford, and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, France, where he is now a guest lecturer in marketing. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in the history of Asian art from SOAS, and is a fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys working on his organic farm in Kent, collecting Asian art and trekking in the Himalayas.
