The first set of annual country reports for our prospective evaluation of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) have been published. The reports form part of a global evaluation led by Universalia, under which 22 summative evaluations and eight three-year prospective country-level evaluations are being conducted between 2017 and 2020.
Covering the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nepal and Zimbabwe, these reports provide the first look at findings on whether the GPE’s inputs and influence are shaping education sector planning and implementation towards the outcomes in its theory of change.
As the first submitted in the three-year prospective evaluation, the reports offer tentative conclusions based on the data collection, monitoring and assessment of the GPE support to these countries at this early stage of implementation.
