We’re looking forward to the UK Evaluation Society (UKES) Conference this week, which this year centres around the theme of diversity within the evaluation field.
Several Itad staff and associates will be at the conference this year to share insights from our projects.
15th May
4.45pm, Room Two – Health theme lead Ellie Brown will explore our work evaluating complex change in health systems to support achieving universal health care coverage. The session will discuss frameworks for evaluation of ‘health systems strengthening’, as part of a utilisation-focused evaluation.
16th May
10.30, Room One – Ed Hedley, Jessica Rust-Smith and Fabiola Lopez-Gomez will share their practical experience of using two relatively new and innovative qualitative methods, Qualitative Impact Protocol (QUIP) and Realist Evaluation (RE), to unpick complex impact pathways within mixed-methods evaluations of two market systems programmes.
2pm, Room One – Climate Change theme lead Dave Wilson, with Itad associates Gil Yaron and Jen Leavy, will reflect on our work on DFID’s Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) programme. They will share lessons from a hybrid evaluation design that brings together quasi-experimental, cost-benefit analysis, participatory approaches and realist synthesis to evaluate resilience in a meaningful way.
3.45pm, Room Four – Laura Hopkins and Itad associate Catherine Currie will share their tips and tools for implementing Contribution Analysis, and the lessons they’ve learnt from a series of advocacy evaluations.
