The MEL component of RAP generates knowledge and facilitates learning for the programme and its partners. It does this by providing in-depth analysis on the progress and outcomes of RAP and the contribution that it makes to development.
MEL is an independent component of RAP. Strong emphasis is placed on partnership – with RAP’s implementing agencies and other organisations in Nepal that are involved in associated research or have an interest in using the knowledge that it generates.
MEL’s activities are focused in eight RAP core districts in mid and far west Nepal
This report presents the findings of a survey of 3,200 households in eight districts in the mid and far west of Nepal that was conducted in mid-2014. The data from this survey presents probably the most comprehensive dataset ever generated about the livelihoods of people living in the region.
