Mary Lagaay has over eight years of international experience in research and evaluation. She currently designs, manages and conducts evaluation and research on global health outcomes. Her sectoral expertise encompasses sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, disability and inclusion and health systems strengthening.
Mary has specific expertise in qualitative and participatory research, theory-based evaluation and inclusive research methods. Her current work includes the evaluation of Adolescents 360, an innovative sexual and reproductive health programme developed using Human-Centred Design. She is also managing the production of evidence and learning from DFID’s global programme on Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH). Her recent work also includes two theory-based evaluations of paediatric and adolescent HIV testing and counselling programmes.
Prior to joining Itad, Mary was a researcher at Plan International, where she was responsible for the design and management of global research projects related to children’s rights.
