Underpinning the Mission of the Rockefeller Foundation – to improve the well-being of humankind – are the two goals of advancing inclusive economies that expand opportunities for more broadly shared prosperity, and building resilience by helping people, communities and institutions prepare for, withstand, and emerge stronger from acute shocks and chronic stresses.
The Evaluation Office
The Evaluation Office of the Rockefeller Foundation are charged with designing and managing M&E assignments to oversee the work of the Foundation in achieving these goals, as well as thinking ahead to be prepared to support the M&E needed for new emerging fields of work. The current workload and wide span of subject area expertise needed by the Foundation put pressure on internal M&E capacity and present the opportunity to introduce external and innovative M&E thought leadership to the Foundation and its initiatives. Following previous Itad support to the Foundation, enhancing impact and sustainability of results through the provision of innovative M&E services, we have once again received a grant for M&E advisory support.
Our role
Itad will engage a range of Itad and independent M&E specialists to provide short-term technical and practical assistance to the Rockefeller Foundation’s Evaluation Office, initiative teams, key grantees and partners across a range of areas including real-time initiative results reporting for course correction, initiative M&E system design, and initiative evaluation. The assistance will be used primarily in new fields such as Digital Jobs Africa (DJA), Smart Power for Environmentally-sound Economic Development (SPEED) and 100 Resilient Cities, to enhance the effectiveness and impact of the Foundation’s work, and that of its grantees and partners.
