The OECD-DAC Governance Network (GOVNET) works to improve the effectiveness of donor support to democratic governance in developing countries.
It aims to generate a better understanding and evidence base about aid and domestic accountability and to ensure that this evidence informs donor policy and practice.
Our role
Itad assisted GOVNET in implementing its work-plan of activities and achieving its objectives through developing guidance on policy and programming approaches as part of a case study in Mali. We supported a baseline review of relevant material on the political system and prepared a background paper on donor support to domestic accountability. We assisted the Secretariat in facilitating a national consultative process and a subsequent workshop to discuss the emerging findings. We also helped to input the findings from the Mali case study work into the policy paper and programming guidance.
