Guidelines for Evaluating Conflict Prevention and Peace Building Activities were developed through a collaboration of a core group of OECD DAC partners. This group included the DAC Conflict Network and the DAC Evaluation Network.
Our role
Itad were engaged by DFID, on behalf of the DAC, to pilot test these guidelines on a range of DFID country and regional programme evaluations. The Guidance aimed to provide evidence on what works and why in light of a growing portfolio of conflict prevention and peacebuilding interventions. It also aimed to assist those working within the field to better understand the role and utility of evaluation and assist in future programme design and monitoring. For Evaluators, the Guidance was designed to enhance understanding of the sensitivities that apply in conflict-prone environments and the difficulties in assessing progress.
