M&E of Coastal Zone Projects, Scottish Executive

2002; United Kingdom; Scottish Executive

Itad were contracted by Scottish Executive, to conduct M&E of coastal zone projects by producing an evaluation using a mixture of participatory techniques, interviews, questionnaires and desk studies, to examine whether such voluntary partnerships are the most effective way of ensuring that Scottish Coastal Zones are sustainably managed.

The Scottish Executive Central Research Unit, on behalf of the Scottish Coastal Forum, commissioned Itad in association with BMT Cordah, to undertake an evaluation of the effectiveness of Local Coast Fora in the delivery of Integrated Coastal Zone Management within Scotland. Local coastal Fora are voluntary partnerships made up of stakeholders who have an interest in the local coastal area. These stakeholders cover a broad-base of interests, from multi-national companies, to local community groups.
