Callum Taylor

Callum is a Consultant with Itad’s Human Development practice, having joined in the autumn of 2019. He has over three years’ experience of leading complex, large-scale research projects that deliver high quality, reliable and insightful reports and data for clients in the international development sector.

Prior to joining Itad Callum worked as a Senior Research Officer for Economic Development Initiatives (EDI), a leading provider of research and data collection services in East Africa. In this role he was responsible for overseeing research projects and teams across a range of international development themes. He also supported EDI’s efforts to develop original research through blogs, conference presentations, and working papers, and co-wrote a published journal article on the emerging topic of survey paradata. He previously worked in business development for a large human services provider in the UK, and as an English Teacher in South Korea.

Callum holds a Masters in Development Economics and a Bachelors in Economics and Development Studies, both from the University of Sussex. For his dissertation, Callum focused on assessing whether remittances have an impact on economic growth, and which socio-economic factors impact this relationship.

Callum is a recipient of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund scholarship, and an alumnus of the Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship.
