George Murray is a Business Development Officer at Itad. He joined in 2019 and works closely with our consultants on markets, business and supply chains.
Prior to joining Itad, George worked as Programme Officer for the Yunus Center at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, where he focused on social business and private sector development and was a key member of the organising team for Social Business Day 2019. George also worked in the Frameworks Team at IMC Worldwide.
George holds an MSc in International Development: Development Management from the University of Manchester. For his MA thesis, George explored the relationship between opium cultivation and insurgency in rural Afghanistan and the implications for governance and service provision for rural agricultural communities. George completed his BA (Hons) at Queen’s University Belfast, where he studied history and social anthropology, and also completed an exchange semester at Sciences Po Bordeaux studying political science and international relations.
