George is a Business Development Officer at Itad, having joined in October 2019. George works closely with our inclusive growth practice, supporting the practice in all areas of business development, including bid coordination for a range of clients, process management, partnership building and commercial positioning.
Prior to joining Itad, George worked as a Program Officer for Yunus Center at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, where he focussed on social business and private sector development and was a key member of the organising team for Social Business Day 2019. George also worked in the Frameworks Team at IMC Worldwide where he manged a variety of frameworks contracts and individual call-downs.
George holds an MSc in International Development: Development Management from the University of Manchester. For his MA thesis, George explored the relationship between opium cultivation and insurgency in rural Afghanistan and the implications for governance and service provision for rural agricultural communities. George completed his BA (Hons) at Queen’s University Belfast, where he studied History & Social Anthropology, and also completed an exchange semester at Sciences Po Bordeaux studying political science and international relations.
