Lizzie Taylor joined Itad in February 2019 as Business Development Officer. Lizzie supports all aspects of business development including bid coordination, leads assessment and process management, account management and partnership building.
Before she joined Itad, Lizzie worked in programme management, grants management and resource mobilisation roles across the NGO sector. Before that Lizzie had a career in social housing, where she managed seven sheltered housing schemes for older people.
During her time in the NGO sector, Lizzie supported contracts for the elimination of neglected tropical diseases at Sightsavers and at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance (now Frontline AIDS) she was the Strategic Resource Mobilisation Manager. In this role, she managed donor relationships and increased income from multiple donors including CIDA, Norad, Danida, SIDA and DfID. At Plan UK International, Lizzie managed a youth health programme and was also responsible for increasing Plan’s grant-funded programmes in Asia and the Americas whilst seeking to maximise income opportunities with key funders (DFID, EC, BLF, Comic Relief). This included the development of a new grants strategy, ensuring income targets were met and overseeing quality and compliance issues.
At Marie Stopes International, Lizzie was a Programmes Manager, providing day to day support to the country offices in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Malawi.
During the course of her work in the NGO sector, Lizzie has worked in Albania, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, Panama, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda Vietnam and Zambia.
Lizzie has a degree in Geography, with reference to Africa and Asia only, from the School of Oriental and African Studies, a post-graduate certificate in Project Management and a post-graduate diploma in Management, specialising in Marketing.
