Universal access to health services, strong health systems, and investment in treatments and services underpins development across the spectrum of human life, from industrial economic growth and climate resilience to effective education and strengthened governance.
Our health work is focused on some of our most pressing and urgent challenges. We produce compelling evidence of what works to improve people’s sexual, reproductive and maternal health, including in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
We work to strengthen health systems and global health security, including the fight against global pandemics and to eliminate neglected tropical diseases. We work with global health organisations as a partner and critical friend, so that they can improve their impact and outcomes of their programmes.
